Basically, my teacher chose four works of world literature our paper 1. Two of the works I do not care, but the other two do not like. So I was wondering if it would be possible for me to make my writing a world of paper books that were not elected by my teacher, but are in the book list IBO IB English A1 HL?

Why don’t you talk to your teacher about this? Explain your reasoning for not wanting to use the given books and show her the book you want to use along with the reasons for using it. If she says no you’re stuck, but she’s the only one who can answer this question for you.
well obviously for the world lit you have to use a book that has been translated.
i know that in my class you have to use one of the four given to you (i think mostly so that the people who grade them know the works)
i am pretty sure that you dont have a choice, but just think of how lucky you are that you have four choices.

You need to do your paper on the books that were taught in class. (And why are you asking a bunch of random people instead of your teacher?)
Okay so in IB English you read hella books, right? And only a few of those are your “World Lit” texts. So you know that for WLit 1 since this is a comparison paper you have to choose two books — but I think what you can do is use one World Lit text (it’s been translated from another language) and compare it with another text that you have read AT YOUR SCHOOL (not sure if you can do books merely if they’re on the IBO book list, sorry)
(Check with your teacher on this! Or, if s/he is not too bright, talk to your IB Coordinator at your school)
One of my friends did her WLit 1 on The Awakening + A Doll House, only the latter of which was a translated text, when everybody else did combinations of Oedipus Rex, Metamorphosis, Chronicle of A Death Foretold, and Stranger… So I think it’s possible if you talk to your teacher about it!
Then for your WLit 2 you can use the other work that you don’t mind
