I took British Lit last semester, however, we read work from the Romantic Period, Victorian Period and 20th century. We read Austin, Blake, Wollstonecraft, Wordsworths, Byron, Shelley, Gaskell, Woolf, among others. If you don’t like literature you’d most likely be bored in any related class. Make the best of it, all gen ed classes are supposed to broaden your knowledge, making your education well rounded, though I’m not sure if you care.
