I read Hamlet in 12th grade, and my teacher was wonderful. I actually enjoyed it and really look for foreshadowing, symbolism, and all sorts of things I usually was unaware of. I myself am writing a book, and had it half done when I read Hamlet, and realized how I myself have been foreshadowing. Hamlet also is a good character study, and helps you understand parts of yourself and others. We all end up food for worms anyway! Shakespeare was and is the roots of modern novels and movies! "to thine ownself be true". I find it to be a philosophical play and it examines many aspects of being human.
